There is little in the way of technical resistance until 1.0000 and with momentum on the daily chart starting to build, I’d expect to see a test in the next week or so. My overall target is still at 1.10 as I think that EUR/CHF will trade back above 1.30 and EUR/USD will ease lower [...]

I think it’s safe to say that this particular cross does not attract a lot of attention but some of the bigger hedge funds seem to be playing it fairly seriously. A quick look at the charts suggest that the big levels to watch are .9400 and .9500 and a break above the latter could [...]

EUR/CHF has confirmed its base near 1.2200 and looks to be on another upswing. USD/JPY is certainly bullish but option barriers at 104.00 will prove very difficult to overcome. EUR/USD and cable are still moderately well-supported on dips, mainly driven by cross plays. AUD/USD is certainly an alternative for USD bulls but market longs have [...]

The much-anticipated article from Fed-watcher Hilsenrath has had little impact and the major pairings are trading close to their NY closing levels from Friday. USD/CHF and USD/JPY finished last week full of bullish momentum and I expect this to continue. The main target in USD/JPY is the upper-end of China’s big double-no-touch at 104.00 whilst [...]

Finally is all I have to say after being long for the last 2 months! Next resistance is weekly highs at 0.9575. Swiss name buying decent amounts in recent trade and struggling to get them in they say.

I’m long of this pair, and have been for a while now, and I’m hoping that we are about to witness a sharp acceleration in bullish momentum. Daily highs at .9500 have just been marginally breached but there is more significant weekly highs near .9575. The 200-week SMA comes in around .9650 and I reckon [...]

The fall in Gold led me to expect another sell-off in the CHF but this hasn’t eventuated. EUR/CHF has a base in place from the SNB but is unable to sustain any rally, and this also despite big leads from pairs like EUR/JPY. Market chatter suggests that global asset managers are super-long of Swiss assets [...]

I’m still sitting with a core long position in USD/CHF but I haven’t been able to get into the rhythm of the market at all and am getting close to pulling the pin on this one. I’m also still long of EUR/AUD with an excellent average on the trade, so this is one trade I’m [...]

USD/JPY should find some decent support in the low 97′s I feel, cable should be toppy near 1.5580 technical resistance and EUR/USD has already rallied 100 pips from last week’s lows (in a tight ranging market). My preferred pairs to look at for bullish intraday opportunities are AUD/USD and USD/CHF. The Aussie will run into [...]

Even though we’ve broken below daily support at 1.2140, bearish momentum hasn’t really increased and this pair has been struggling to break below 1.2100. In fact it’s trading like a pair that has some barrier protection in play, but that’s a pure guess on my part. The NZD/USD has been the leader again this morning, [...]
